CAN THE TYRE LIST BE PUT IN THE FORUM SO WE CAN ALL SEE IT, AS I TAKE IT THAT THESE ARE THE ONLY TYRES THAT CAN BE USED AT AWDC EVENTS NEXT YEAR, WITH NO EXCEPTIONS, WHAT IF A TYRE NOT MENTIONED IS IDENTICAL IN PATTERN TO A LISTED TYRE, CAN IT BE USED . OR IS THE LIST FINAL WITH NO EXCEPTIONS.

Comp Sec was going to put it in the Docs/Regs section on the main site, but that hasn't happened yet.

Can someone with a copy upload it on the forum as an attachment?

Tried to upload but can't do it, all drivers on the safari register should have received it by e-mail unless of course I don't have your address!
Sod the racing, I'm going shopping....

The list has now been re-typed by my "Junior" PA, apparently the fee for keeping all you drivers updated is the offer of lots of laps in various racers at Walters and Sidbury

It will be posted on the forum tonight by her [ or so she says]
My racer will be ready next year, or the year after, or the year after............

The 2009 approved tyre list is as follows:
The tyres listed are examples of what is on the market at the present time. For the 2009 season you may use tyres from the ALL TERRAIN (list Va) or the MUD TERRAIN (list Vb). You can not use tyres from the AGGRESSIVE (list Vc) or any diamond type tyre that is not on the AGGRESSIVE list but are clearly a diamond type tyre. These tyres will not be allowed by the Club Scrutineers.
As different tyres come on to and leave the market, the MSA TYRE BOARD will alter the list suitably on an annual basis.

i know this will create a hot topic of debate....... but what happens if i have a tyre that is basically the same as a colway macho pattern but isnt specifically on the list (or any other tyre that looks identical to anything else on the list for that matter)

reason i ask is that Kingpin make an Amazon/macho etc pattern tyre but its not on the list......

i will be needing to buy at least six tyres to race on next year possibly more (as of course will most other people) and this is a fair few quid,

so the question is will the list be strictly adhered to, or will there be an element of common sense applied ???

i appreciate that the scrutineers have enough to do, as do all the other nice people behind the scenes who make it possible to race........but christmas is coming and i will be adding tyres to santa's list so would like to be sure his little helpers get it right !

thanks one and all

only the tyres on the lists in the blue book will be allowed no look alikes if you want them inclueded put it to the comp sec who will put it to the offroad commitee to be put on the list. if you have your licence you should have the blue book with the tyre lists in.Dont forget spare tyres as well must complie l

hi just been looking at the tyre list on this site and in the blue book. and found that bridgestone dueller AT tyres are allowed but bridgestone dueller MT tyres are not on the list, these are a standard MT pattern like bf goodrich/bonco rough riders and many others.why are they not on the list
