Modified Class 1: Unlimited Modifications.
The Class for specials and ATVs (All Terrain Vehicles). Vehicles may be extensively modified, but must still conform with the Technical Regulations. Four wheel steering, slewing brakes and open centred (dumper) tyres are permitted in this class subject to the ASRs for the event. Paragraph 6.2 (d) does not apply in this class.

 

Modified Class 2: Limited modifications

The amount of modifications allowed in this class are restricted but do include: changing of chassis lengths, change of spring type, change of engine and/or gearbox type. The axle choice is free. After market differential locking mechanisms are permitted. Four wheel steering is not permitted. Slewing brakes are not permitted although open centred tyres (subject to prevailing ASRs) are.  The bodywork must not be narrowed to become a single seater and it is recommended that an amount of bodywork be retained, which give an impression of the type of the vehicle, which makes it easily identifiable by the average spectator. All vehicles must conform to the current technical regulations. Paragraph 6.2 (d) does not apply in this class.

AVT Class A
The Class for specials and ATVs (All Terrain Vehicles). Vehicles may be extensively modified, but must still conform to the Technical Regulations. Four wheel steering, slewing brakes and open centred (dumper) tyres are permitted in this class subject to the ASRs for the event.

AVT Class B
The Class for specials and ATVs (All Terrain Vehicles). Vehicles may be extensively modified, but must still conform to the Technical Regulations. Diff lockers, traction control and open centred (dumper) tyres are permitted in this class subject to the ASRs for the event. Four wheel steering, slewing brakes and centrally mounted single seated vehicles are prohibited from this class

AVT Class C
The Class for specials and ATVs (All Terrain Vehicles). Vehicles may be extensively modified, but must still conform to the Technical Regulations. This class is for all vehicles .  Four wheel steering, slewing brakes and centre mounted single seated vehicles, diff lockers, traction control are prohibited from this class.  Tyres must conform to the Technical regulation 6.9 (a)  Any vehicle with a wheelbase greater than 90" will be entitled to a shunt and must be nominated to a marshal at the start of the section.

 

SVT Class

This standard SVT category must resemble the original vehicle. The modifications are limited to: Engine conversions; power steering fitment; free choice of wheels and tyres. The fitting of safety equipment of any type is permitted. A front screen frame must be in place as should be a mid-mounted roof frame when competing (this is the absolute minimum). Tyres such as those described in section 9(a) sentence 3 (open centred) are not permitted for use on SVT vehicles. The vehicle must retain all the original bodywork, but this may be modified but there should be sufficient body to make the vehicle easy recognisable.  Hybrids with chassis modification will be allowed if the original wheelbase of the body is maintained.

All vehicles of 100 inch in class B, SVt or Tyro's and 90" or above in class C will be allowed one shunt per section. More than one shunt on a section may be allowed at the discretion of the COC.

Modified Class 2 vehicles when driving the 10 gated section, will be allowed a shunt when driving the modified sections. This shunt must be taken prior to passing through the four gate and be nominated to a marshal at the start of the section.
